There are three bedrooms all at separate ends of the house for privacy. In the middle is a large kitchen and eating area and also a very large living room. Off of the main entrance hallway is our hottub room with a beautiful 8 man hottub, which is fully covered with walls on three sides, roof and fresh air with the one open wall! The master bedroom has a walk in closet and an ensuite with a soaker tub. Off of the master bedroom, we have another room, which could be used as an office, or sitting room. There is tons and tons of storage area under the house and we also have two sheds. One shed is regular size, the other is a smaller garden shed, where the kids store their bikes. Our yard, although small in size, has beautiful flowers, a nice palm tree, plenty of room for a patio set. Across from our house is a very large grass field where the kids often play and take the dog for a walk.
We live in Breakaway Bays Manufactured Home Park. This is the only park that allows children (without going to Newton or Aldergrove). There is a large recroom with shuffle board, games and a new library. There is an outdoor pool for residents use. Across from my house is a community hall, which is booked for free for use for birthday parties, showers and family get togethers.
With my home, we do not own the land the house is on, just the home. As such, we pay pad rental to Breakaway Bays. The pad rental is $701/month which includes electricity, garbage etc. We do have a gas furnace, which was used for the very first time ever this year. The furnace was installed when the house was built in 1990 - but portable electric heaters were the only source of heat ever used here (as such the heating costs were included with pad rental). The cost to run and heat the hot tub is also included!
We have a mortgage through the Bank of Montreal. They required 5% down or $7500. At 6% interest, over 25 years, loan payments are $911/month. Property taxes for our house are $400/year, which isn't bad. So you are looking at $1612/month, for our three bedroom, which could be four bedrooms home. Small pets are allowed, the park says limit of one cat or one small dog.
